BBC Midlands Today News Article on The Network (Worcestershire) - 13/02/2007
The Network (Worcestershire) is now a Designated Collection Facility under Regulation 55 of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006
What if residents of Worcestershire could have their dead electrical appliances collected from their homes by making one phone call and know, that by doing so they were helping to protect the environment and help the community at the same time?
"To good to be true" we hear you cry.
"Not so.!"
Now, if you live in the county of Worcestershire you can indeed be relieved of the burden of disposing of your unwanted electrical appliances painlessly. Currently most residents take their electrical waste down to the local tip, or pay the local council up to £30.00 for them to collect the items.
It does cost us money to collect and process items, and many items cannot be reused. As a charity it is our goal to provide high quality goods at a low cost. To help achieve this we suggest a donation that reflects our costs of processing and disposal. (see table below)
