Social Inclusion for Children & Young People
Our overall aim is to improve the lives of Children & Young People within impoverished areas of the community by setting up Healthy Lifestyle Clubs and a Social Inclusion Club.
Our Specific Aims
- To increase self confidence & self esteem.
- To improve involvement in activities which the Children & Young People accessing the clubs may not otherwise experience.
- To increase their basic knowledge of healthy lifestyles incorporating Every Child Matters and The Healthy Schools Programme.
Our Objectives
- To provide a ‘Youth Setting’ as a safe and welcoming environment for the Children & Young People to attend.
- To enable those accessing the clubs to experience leisure & recreational opportunities in the form of taster sessions.
- To provide written information, advice and workshops on health issues.
- To provide confidential advice and support.
