The children and young people’s team are working in the three areas in the Wyre Forest Oldington & Foley Park, Horsefair & Broadwaters and in the Walshes in Stourport. We are working with children from 5 years old to young adults up to 19 years.

We have try to do the same amount of work in each area with clubs called Wild Explorers, Eco- Warriors and Youth clubs. In each of the clubs the participants are working towards different goals i.e. The Wild Explorer children are learning about outdoor survival, the Eco-Warriors are learning about Nature Reserve conservation, and at the Youth Clubs we are trying to encourage the Young People to achieve qualifications which they would not necessarily get the chance to attain during their everyday lives.

During the Holiday times we run activities such as Arts, Sports, Play and trips for all the ages, again all these activities are in the three areas. When we put trips on we try to take even numbers from the three areas so that the young people get the chance to meet other young people this helps start breaking down barriers and shows them people from other areas are the similar to themselves.

Some of the trips we have been doing are Go Karting, Paintballing, Forest of Dean bike rides and Arts Trail, also we have been using the local Nature reserves to do activities such as Halloween Scare night, Easter Egg Hunt, Assault courses and much more.

Both the afterschool club and the holiday club are run at Birchen Coppice Middle School and cater predominantly for the Oldington area, we also try to encourage children from other areas to attend.
